Clear Into The Future® Internet Application Launch Page

General Guidelines:

  1. Organizations applying for a Clear into the Future® Activity Grant must be a:
    1. U.S.-based IRS recognized 501(c)3 charitable organization
    2. Non-U.S.-based non-governmental organization (NGO)
    3. U.S. or Non-U.S. educational institution
    4. U.S.-based government entity
  2. Organizations applying for a Clear into the Future® Dinner or Event Sponsorship must be a:
    1. U.S.-based IRS recognized 501(c)3 charitable organization
  3. DuPont DOES NOT fund disease-specific organizations.
  4. Organizations that discriminate in any way based on age, race, religion, color, gender, disability, national or ethnic origin, ancestry, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or veteran status ARE NOT ELIGIBLE.
  5. Organizations that engage in political activity ARE NOT ELIGIBLE.
  6. DuPont considers funding requests from religious institutions ONLY if the funding request will service the general public.
  7. The organization applying for funding OR the majority of beneficiaries of the funding request must be located within a 50-mile radius of a DuPont facility.

Before You Begin:

To streamline the application process, you should gather all required information before starting the application process, including:

  1. U.S.-based IRS Charitable Organizations will need to provide their Federal Tax ID Number. This is a nine (9) digit number assigned by the Internal Revenue Service at the time your organization was incorporated.
  2. U.S.-based IRS Charitable Organizations will be asked to provide their scores from Charity Navigator if applicable.
  3. U.S.-based Educational Institutions will be asked to provide the applicable ID number from the National Center for Educational Statistics database.
  4. Non-U.S.-based non-governmental organizations and educational institutions will be vetted for IRS equivalence by DuPont’s IRS compliance service provider, NGO Source. Once the application is received, the grantee will be contacted for additional information which they will be required to submit before the DuPont Community Fund can make a final funding determination.
  5. You will be required to provide organization financial statements and submit them as an attachment to your online application. Have one of the following organization financial documents ready to attach to your online application:
    1. Current year organization budget
    2. Prior year audited financials
    3. Prior year tax filings
  6. You will be required to provide a program or event budget and submit it as an attachment to your online application.
  7. You will be required to provide a board of directors list and submit it as an attachment to your online application.

How to Apply:

  1. Ensure you are using a browser compatible with the DuPont Online Application System. Certified compatible browsers are:
    1. Internet Explorer 9, 10, 11
    2. Mozilla Firefox for Windows (version 25 or later)
    3. Google Chrome for Windows (version 30 or later–32-bit version only)
    4. Mozilla Firefox for Mac
    5. Safari for Mac
  2. DuPont utilizes third-party software in its online application process. Read their Privacy Policy and Safe Harbor Notice.
  3. If you have not previously done so, create a DuPont Online ID by clicking “New Applicant” and following instructions. You will receive an email with your login credentials.
  4. Login using your DuPont Online ID and Password.
  5. Take the eligibility quiz to ensure you meet DuPont’s funding criteria.
  6. Complete and submit the online application.
  7. You will receive a confirmation email when your application has been received.
  8. You will receive a decision on your funding request via email.
